Alien Ramirez is a 20 times World Latin Dance Champion and world-class renowned dance instructor. Originally from Bayamo, Cuba, Alien Ramirez started dancing at the age of four and trained at EIA (Escuela de Instructores de Arte). There, she trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Gymnastics, Flamenco, Cuban Folklore, Afro-Cuban, and other Latin styles. In addition to being a professionally trained dancer, Alien holds a degree from EIA as a professional instructor. Alien is internationally recognized and admired for her excellence across various dance genres. Her achievements include becoming the first female to win the World Salsa Federation (WSF) Salsa Shines Championship in 2010 and winning back-to-back the Salsa Cabaret & Bachata divisions at the 2010 & 2011 World Latin Dance Cup (WLDC).
At 21 years old, Alien moved to Los Angeles where she worked and partnered with renowned choreographers such as Alex Da Silva, Alex Magno, Cristian Oviedo, Rodrigo Guzman, Grizzly Hidriago, David Nieto, Jorge Contreras, Martin Galezz, Erick Calvillo and many others.
Alien’s success is not limited to winning World Dance Championships. She has appeared as a dancer and choreographer for many videos, commercials, and TV shows, including “So You Think You Can Dance.” Her passion for dance generates admiration and raw emotion because of her unique style, flavor, elegance, and sensuality. Dancing is also her way of giving back to the world, as shown through her yearly trips to Cuba to teach dance to underprivileged children from her hometown.
Alien is not only a very humble and exceedingly talented artist, but she also has an undeniable gift in teaching. She can break down anything that seems impossible eloquently and stylishly.
