DJ To’ Costa aka Nunes Da Costa was best known for his DJing, dancing, and promoting Kizomba aspiring to make the music achieving mainstream status worldwide. He was born in Luanda, Angola, and developed his taste for music and dance at an early age, mainly influenced by his grandmother who played the “Batuke” for one of the biggest carnival groups his mother’s records collection and her favorite Brazilian singer Roberta Miranda, UB40, Bob Marley, and the Wailers.
To’ Costa is a highly sought after DJ in the UK and is a vocal advocate of the music and dance. He has been giving workshops and demonstrations of Kizomba as a dance form, and DJing Kizomba music all over Europe and USA.
During his 16-years career as a DJ, To’ Costa had played in various clubs across the UK from the best Afro-Luso clubs in the country to mainstream clubs in central London.
Throughout his career he also participated in music production, collaborating with DJ Joka Moreno as well as co-writing music.
